What does scratch & dent mean?

A scratch & dent appliance is a new machine with a cosmetic mark — a small dent on a side panel, a scuff, or an opened box — sold well under retail. All units are surplus inventory (open box, cancelled order, customer return, overstock, or minor scratch & dent). Every unit includes the manufacturer's full factory warranty. Please inspect thoroughly in person before purchasing — cosmetic imperfections or missing accessories are possible.

What does open-box mean?

Open-box means the carton was opened — a floor model, a cancelled order or a customer return sent back to the retailer — and the machine comes to us new and unused in the home. All units are surplus inventory (open box, cancelled order, customer return, overstock, or minor scratch & dent). Every unit includes the manufacturer's full factory warranty. Please inspect thoroughly in person before purchasing — cosmetic imperfections or missing accessories are possible.

Is there a warranty?

Every appliance we sell, whatever its condition channel, carries the full manufacturer warranty from the purchase date on the Apex Sales receipt. Apex Sales does not perform warranty repairs; those are handled directly by the brand. Do you deliver to Columbia or Jefferson City, and what does it cost?

Yes. Curbside delivery is $75 flat in Columbia or Jefferson City, or $75 plus tiered driving mileage from the showroom that holds your appliance when you are outside town. Haul-away of the old one is $25 for the first item and $10 for each additional item. Put your address in on the delivery page and the price comes back before you buy.

How do I see what's on the floor today?

Our online store shows every machine on both floors with its own photos, measurements and price, updated as loads land and units sell. Shop it from your phone, then come see the real thing, or check out online and pick up free. If you do not see what you need, send us a request and we text you when it arrives.

Where are your stores, and when are you open?

Two showrooms: 191 N Rangeline Rd, Columbia, MO 65201 (Mon–Sat 10a–6p · Sun 10a–4p (Central)) and 615 Delaware Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109 (Mon–Sat 9a–6p · Sun 10a–4p (Central)), plus an overflow warehouse at 3500 N Ten Mile Dr in Jefferson City that is open by appointment. Are scratch & dent appliances used?

No. They are new units with a cosmetic mark or an opened box, from retailer and distributor channels — never bought secondhand out of homes. Each listing shows real photos of that exact unit.

Do they come with a warranty?

Yes. Every unit sits on the floor at our Columbia showroom (191 N Rangeline Rd, Columbia, MO 65201) or our Jefferson City showroom (615 Delaware Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109); each listing says which one. Come look it over in person.

How much is delivery?

Curbside delivery is $75 in town. In-town delivery is $75. Out of town is $75 plus measured mileage from the store holding your machine — miles 1–29 at $1.50 a mile, miles 30–79 at $2.00 a mile, 80+ miles at $3.00 a mile. Haul-away of an old unit is $25 for the first item and $10 each additional. All deliveries are curbside drop-off only. Units are placed at your driveway, garage, or front entry. We do not bring units inside, uncrate, connect utilities (water, gas, electrical, or venting), or install. We do not install, hook up, uninstall or do any plumbing, gas or electrical work — bring your own installer and have them test everything before they leave.
